What Was Vintage Is New Again...

I am absolutely loving the work of fellow Etsy purveyor Boots-n-Gus.  They can turn just about anything, from a basket to a Jello mold, into a functioning and affordable light.

Vintage Basket Purse Leather Trim and Handle

Vintage basket purse woven in vinyl coated wicker with light brass tone hardware, leather trim and handle. Interior tag states "MADE IN HONG KONG." Great vintage fabric lining the interior however, there is a small straight tear in the fabric near the bottom of the purse measuring near 3/4" in length. This could be repaired easily with needle and thread. Metal feet and vinyl straps at base firmly attached.

10" width at top of basket, 12" width at base. 8" tall (12 3/4" including handle drop). 4 1/2" depth.

Vintage Butterscotch Lucite Basketweave Box Purse

Vintage basket purse with stunning butterscotch lucite frame and handles. Hardware is light brass colored metal. Barrel turn-key closure in good working order, handles and feet at base all firmly attached. Clear vinyl-coated natural straw is woven in a flat basketweave pattern. Lining is beige vinyl. There is one interior zippered coin pocket and one open pocket. The lining is loose at a seam near the top interior (see photo). This could be easily glued or tacked to prevent further separation. This flaw would not prevent use.

Purse measures 8 1/4" length, 5 1/2" height (10" including handle drop), and 4 1/4" depth.
