Migration

The first time I set eyes on this little gem I was smitten.  I don't think you can look at the pear-shaped cat, mod trees, and sweet birds without smiling a little. For a year, I moved this framed needlework from room to room in my house trying to find the perfect wall or ledge.  Nothing ever felt right.  Then, as it happened, a good friend was over and noticed the piece hanging in yet another temporary location.  Declaring her love for it, she asked that I notify her first should I ever decide to sell it.   It occurred to me it was SHE that was meant to have it.  It was precisely her aesthetic.  I was just the means to its migration.

When she left, I took the piece off the wall and placed it on a shelf.  And, there it sat until today when I took it down, and wrapped it for her Birthday. 

Rare 70's Pierre Cardin Black Wool Fedora

Women's 1970's Pierre Cardin 100% wool black hat with grosgrain ribbon band, gold tone metal "P" (designer's monogram) detail, and beautiful open-weave/embellishment work around brim.  Label at interior band "Pierre Cardin Paris-New York" and interior wool is stamped "100% wool 'Esccello' Made in U.S.A Geo.
