Rare Vintage 30s/40s Women's Winter Cap, Knit Ear Flap

Rare vintage winter hat circa late 30s - 40s. Similar to the "Norseman" hat made by North King during the same era however, this hat is not marked and has no tags.

Cap fabric is wool with short nap and has stiff brim, grosgrain bow detail and norweigian knit band which folds down to cover ears. Knit is black, red, and white yellow. Folds down to reveal solid red. Hat interior is quilted satin.

Flaws Visible When Worn:
Hat is in fair condition. Patches of wool loss at brim and front. Grosgrain ribbon detail is in need of cleaning.

Flaws Present but Not Visible When Worn:
Interior piping between lining and brim has loose stitching, tips of brim board are peeking through worn wool, satin lining shows discoloration from age and use
