Kitschy... Kitschy... Koooo

I'm so in love with the work of Handmade With Love By Hannah.  You can find her on Etsy too.  Be sure to check out her amazing hand-screened fairy tale line and uber-charming skirts (pictured below) worked from vintage french linens.  *Heart Eyes*

Too Pretty to Eat...

One of the benefits of having the Flaming June Vintage shop under the Etsy umbrella is that I am regularly introduced to the craft of amazing people around the globe.  And, as luck would have it, I had the good fortune of discovering this little gem... a sugar-sweet California boutique shop that specializes in hand-crafted edibles.  Hosting a bridal or baby shower?  Spruce up your petit fours or small cakes with these gorgeous blossoms from Andie's Specialty Sweets

Migration

The first time I set eyes on this little gem I was smitten.  I don't think you can look at the pear-shaped cat, mod trees, and sweet birds without smiling a little. For a year, I moved this framed needlework from room to room in my house trying to find the perfect wall or ledge.  Nothing ever felt right.  Then, as it happened, a good friend was over and noticed the piece hanging in yet another temporary location.  Declaring her love for it, she asked that I notify her first should I ever decide to sell it.   It occurred to me it was SHE that was meant to have it.  It was precisely her aesthetic.  I was just the means to its migration.

When she left, I took the piece off the wall and placed it on a shelf.  And, there it sat until today when I took it down, and wrapped it for her Birthday.

Truly amazing pair of vintage handmade pillows circa 1970s featuring yarn needlework in a chevron pattern. Palette of gradient shades of blues and rust. Pillows are backed with a russet cotton velvet and interior fill is still quite firm and even. Each pillow has a height of 15", length of 18" and is approximately 5" deep when flat.

Vintage Condition: Excellent
